If you make more money you get less assistance, which means that the "extra" money goes right back to what your assistance was covering... There should be a 90-180 period from the time we get jobs before our benefits change, that way we would actually have some time to save the income and get established enough to take on more bills, but it seems like it is almost instantaneous.
