Sadly I do not think it is going to stop anytime soon. We have moved from a Democratic Republic to a Technocratic Oligarchy. There are a few small groups of business men and politicians who are racing toward Socialism and Marxism. Critical thinking is the enemy of those in control. A scared populace is easier to control.
