Today is the day that I begin in earnest my new career as a professional writer. I have published my first book, my second is in the works, and I am just getting started on here.
It’s Time to Stop Talking and Start Being
I have been saying for the last 3 years that I was going to become a professional writer just as soon as it was viable financially. Well, I’m poor you see, so there is never going to be a “right” time. I talk about being poor here.
As in most cases, life happened. What was supposed to be my last job of the season ended up injuring me and putting me out of the manual labor game for good. I am not complaining at all. I am grateful for my life and my health, but I now have a back that can’t do it as a living anymore.
I had to make a choice. To keep painting houses and landscaping yards for a couple more years and end up with who knows how many more back injuries does not sound fun. I have a family now, my decisions are not just mine to make alone any longer.
