Why Is Suicide Such a Taboo Word?

Every day in the United States, 130 Americans choose to take their own life, that’s over 47,000 a year. Of that number 37,960 are men.

There is an epidemic among men. There is a belief that talking about feelings or showing emotion is Womanly and un-Manly… I’m here to tell you that it is exactly the opposite… Real men cry, we feel, we emote, we are unafraid to be vulnerable, and most of all, we love deeply and passionately.

Why Is Help Such A Difficult Thing To Ask For?

Mental health is an essential aspect of overall well-being, yet society often neglects or stigmatizes discussions surrounding it. While mental health affects men and women alike, this essay aims to shed light on the significance of men’s mental health. By exploring the unique challenges faced by men, addressing prevalent stigmas, and advocating for improved support systems, we can foster a healthier society where men feel empowered to prioritize their mental well-being.
